Fair of children’s fashion

BABY Fashion – is the only special purpose exhibition of child’s vogue in Ukraine.

The exhibition is held twice a year, seasonally: in Spring  (in the framework of the Forum of goods and services for children BABY EXPO) and on the threshold of Autumn/ Winter season as an independent campaign.

The notion “child’s vogue” appeared in domestic light industry with the advent of BABY Fashion exhibition. BABY Fashion became the first exhibition that offered not only clothes for children but presented new styles, directions and tendencies in child’s vogue.

Clothes and footwear for children of all ages – from newborns to teenagers, and for different purposes – for active rest, school uniform, festive attire and carnival costumes are presented on the exhibition. The assortment includes linen, hosiery, knitted wear, accessories, bijouterie and special cosmetics for children.

This exhibition is a B2B event, intended for manufacturers, distributors, retailers, buyers, representatives of shops and retail outlets from  all over Ukraine and abroad.

At the same time, BABY Fashion is always of great interest not only for business audience, but also for consumers, particularly in the current economic situation. Each year, trade pavilion for retailers is set up at the exhibition. Range of goods is very diverse. Here one can find clothing for every taste, for every occasion and every purse, which always attracts young parents. In general, these are goods, produced by domestic manufacturers. They are of excellent quality and are sold at a reasonable price that makes them very popular among customers.

BABY Fashion - the only Ukrainian B2B children's fashion event, conducted on the international level.

"BABY Fashion" was one of the biggest sections of the Ukrainian Trade Fair of goods and services for children, BABY Expo, till 2006. Nowadays, it is an independent exhibition event. Its aim is to promote the popularization of children's fashion in Ukraine, the satiation of the market with high quality goods, as well as the development of domestic production and competitiveness of Ukrainian goods.

In accordance with the international practice of holding such exhibitions, "BABY Fashion" is held twice a year, seasonally:
Spring / Summer – within the framework of the international Trade Fair of goods and services for children BABY Expo 2010
Autumn / Winter - as an independent event.

The exposition of BABY Fashion includes clothes for children from birth up to juvenile age. The nomenclature of the exhibition includes shoes, children's underwear, leg wear, knitwear, casual look garments and outer clothing, school uniform, festive attire and carnival costumes, accessories and children's cosmetics. Representatives of Germany, Greece, Italy, China, Poland, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine take part in the exhibition.

Visitors can see clothes of well-known European brands and new trademarks, offers from the  leading domestic manufacturers and young Ukrainian designers. High quality, use of natural materials and modern technologies, practicality, combined with the most fashionable trends of the season 2010/2011, - these are the basic components of production, demonstrated at the exhibition.

BABY Fashion is also an excellent opportunity to acquaint wide audience that visits the exhibition with the work of Ukrainian designers.

 BABY Fashion - is a unique communication tool for professionals of children's fashion industry, an effective business platform and, at the same time, indispensable marketing channel. Fashion Show - demonstrations of children's clothes collections, organized with the support of Ukrainian Fashion Week

Olga Balashova debuted with the collection of children's clothing demonstrated within the framework of "Ukrainian Fashion Week" Trade Mark Defile in 2008. The collection was commercially successful.

There is not enough beautiful children's clothing made of natural fabrics in the country and parents choose between the expensive boutique brands and Chinese consumer goods. Olga wanted to create stylish, elegant and most importantly - natural clothing for children.

This year, Olga Balashova has prepared another gift for her clients. Salt of the new Spring / Summer collection, demonstrated at BABY FASHION, became flower colors and patterns. Designer planned to turn girls into flower buds. Dresses, coats and jackets, manufactured by Olga Balashova will turn girls into ladies and boys – into true gentleman.

The designer creates clothing for children from 6 months to 12 years. Collections include costumes for baptism, elegant coats, raincoats, fur coats, fur jackets, casual classics and elegant clothing for boys and girls. Each dress includes a hat and individually designed accessories: handbags and umbrellas.

High quality textiles, used by Olga Balashova’s FH, are manufactured in Italy, France and Germany. The main distinguishing feature of this designer’s collections is exclusiveness (not more than three variants of the same model are made) and individual approach to each client (creation of individual patterns, because children with the same height have different corpulence).

Designer encourages all parents to help children develop their style from early childhood.

Sophie Maria Sedova

Fashion world attracts many women, regardless of their age. But only few of them manage to create this fashion. Seven-year-old Sophie Maria Sedova - one of those uniques. According to the organizers of LFW and Roksolana Bogutskaya, Sophie Maria is a unique case in the history of Ukrainian fashion because her works are worthy of adult professionals’ level. Sophie controls the process of manufacture, and if any thing has inappropriate look, it is not included in the collection.

The collection, presented within the framework of BABY FASHION exhibition, consists of 15 models that are executed in classical style and combine the elegance of modern clothing and ethnic details.

Sophie Maria Sedova started to draw clothes’ sketches at the age of 3.5 years. In 2009, she took part in “Miss Zhemchuzhina Zapada” (Miss Pearl of the West) contest, where she presented her first collection “Dolls and people”. The collection was demonstrated within the framework of Lviv Fashion Week. The second collection of young designer was called "My Ukraine". In this collection Sophie Maria used the elements of Ukrainian national embroidery. Her third collection "Dreams Come True" consisted of 56 models: coats and clothing for girls, made of white cashmere and red wool, decorated with ethno style embroidery, as well as for boys and adult women. This collection was a great success. All things, presented in the collection, are made at a proper professional level.

Stella Shakhovskaya Fashion House

Fashion House “Stella Shakhovskaya” was founded in 2004 by talented young designer Ekaterina Shakhovskaya.

One of the main activities of the Fashion House is creation of children's dresses for solemn occasions. Dresses are presented in the exclusive version of “Stella Shakhovskaya” line, and in the prêt-a-porter deluxe “Solomia” category. In both cases, high quality of production remains invariable.

On December 5, 2009 Ekaterina Shakhovskaya presented children's collection of carnival costumes under the name “Skazochnaya strana” (Fairy land). The costumes were made in the style of “Stella Shakhovskaya” Fashion House. This means the use of natural fabrics - silk, chiffon, taffeta, abundance of handwork, complex embroidery and special attention to details.

Fashion House participates in international exhibitions and fashion - actions, is the holder of a diploma "For rapid growth in the field of wedding and evening fashion" (Moscow 2004).

In January 2009, Fashion House “Stella Shakhovskaya” launched a new line of clothing for special occasions in the pret-a-porter deluxe “Solomia” category and presented it at the Wedding Deluxe exhibition -salon (Kiev, April 2009).

In 2009, Ukrainian singer Ani Lorak became the face of the Fashion House. Ekaterina Shakhovskaya created a wedding dress for her.

In August 2009, Fashion House “Stella Shakhovskaya” took part in the project "Days of Ukraine in Europe" (Monaco), where it demonstrated a new collection of evening dresses.
The main achievement of this fashion house is professional cut and impeccable quality of dresses.
