Ukraine celebrates the International Day for Protection of Children

The International Day for Protection of Children is observed yearly on June 1 since 1950. It was established in November 1949 in Paris by the Women’s International Democratic Federation. The Day for Protection of Children appeared in the Ukrainian official calendar in 1998.
Many intresting events will take place in Kiev this day.
Children’s Railway in Syretsk Park will work for free. The children will follow the famous route that is open for more than 60 years ago.
A series of interesting and amusing events will take place in Sofiivska Square on 01-04 June. Children with their parents will have an opportunity to prepare various sweets, take part in quests and workshops.
Kiev Planetarium will open the exhibition Zoo Under Microscope.
Children+Summer family festival will take place at the Palace of Children and Youth. The contest of pavement drawing, relay races and other events are on the program.
The National Children's Library of Ukraine will host theatrical festival on the outdoor stage near its building. Some performances will lead the children through the milestones from the cave time till present one.
