During Childhood cancer awareness month, Mattel introduced a new line of Brave Barbie dolls, joined by the first-ever Brave Ken.

What’s special?

The line includes two Barbies with different skin tones, each with stylish outfits and five accessories: headphones, a hat, a headband, a rooted wig, and stickers. Brave Ken also comes with a wig and the same accessories — showing that support is a true sign of strength.

Why does it matter?

These dolls are made for children who lose their hair due to illness. They remind kids that they are not alone — they are valued and supported.

Mattel works with charities worldwide and plans to donate 10,000 dolls to children undergoing treatment. Since Brave Barbie launched in 2013, more than 120,000 dolls have been given away.

This initiative is more than toys — it’s a symbol of courage, compassion, and hope for children fighting illness.
