BABY EXPO 2020 has started. Official opening and business events of the first day

BABY EXPO 2020, a major business event of children’s goods market in Ukraine, has started today, on 10 March 2020.

Anatoliy Kinakh, President of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Nataliia Shchyrova, Deputy Director General of Directorate of Food Safety and Quality of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine; Iryna Naumenko, Vice President of Ukrlegprom association; Tamara Nahaitseva, Director General of Ukrkonservmoloko association; Pavlo Ovchynnikov, President of the Ukrainian Toy Industry Association; Ihor Melnik, Director General of ACCO International Ltd. (Organizer of BABY EXPO) have delivered their opening remarks.

About 300 exhibitors from 12 countries (including Ukraine, Turkey, Poland, and Italy) are showing a great variety of children’s goods. Newly-designed products and collections are exhibited at each and every stand.

This year’s edition of BABY EXPO has hosted two official state-level events, i.e. the Discussion Platform for Children’s Goods Manufacturers and Market Operators (aimed at discussing topical issues and creation of the Council of Children’s Goods Manufacturers and Market Operators under the guidance of the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) and the Conference on Affordability, Safety and Competitive Ability of Baby Foods (with the participation of representatives of the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, executive bodies, leading baby food manufacturers and research institutions).

BABY EXPO is designed for business professionals, so the events within it are mainly workshops, where experts talk about the latest trends and marketing tools for business development.

The list of business events for today, 10 March 2020, includes: Mum’s lifestyle and baby trends — workshop by Kantar. Latest amendments to market surveillance, technical regulations on toy safety — workshop by the Ukrainian Toy Industry Association. How to take the lead in children’s industry with digital technology — workshop by Petro Savych, business consultant, founder of Sales Marketing System.

Ukrainian toy manufacturers, winners of this year’s edition of the Best Toy Contest within BABY EXPO, have been invited to receive their awards.

Today’s Fashion Defile is of much interest to visitors and media, as it usually is. This year’s edition of BABY EXPO has partnered with Fashion TV Ukraine to broadcast the Defile and draw viewing public’s attention to the latest collections of participating designers.
