BABY EXPO team at Spielwarenmesse 2019: photo report

Just after PaperWorld in Frankfurt (see photo report here), BABY EXPO team leaved for Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg.

Spielwarenmesse 2019 celebrated its 70th anniversary – with a new hall structure, an extended programme of talks and a big party; with total area of 170 000 sq. m and 2,902 exhibiting companies from 68 counties.

Spielwarenmesse is a key meeting point for the toy industry. As the largest and most important event of the year, the toy fair in Nuremberg brings together all international decision-makers. Well-known brands, trendy start-ups, buyers for major chains, independent retailers and large numbers of media representatives combine to make the Spielwarenmesse a unique event for all players in the toys and games market.

Visitors of this year’s Spielwarenmesse could find there a new product group, Electronic Toys, and see how technological innovations are now enabling exciting gaming experiences. Smart toys, kits for programmable robots, games in virtual worlds, electronic learning toys, remote-controlled multicopters and RC vehicles were showcased.

About 20 Ukrainian exhibitors took part in this year’s Spielwarenmesse, including well-known to us Intelkom (TechnoK TM), Mir Leo (Strateg TM), Danko Toys and Viktor Tsymbal (VikNat TM).

We also enjoyed our unscheduled visit to JOSEPHS open innovation lab at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Here you can experience currently ongoing innovation journeys of established brands and brand new start-ups.
